Our Story

The House of Mann

A name that everything we send has to live up to.

Hus Vannin is an Isle of Man merchant house for Nordic nicotine pouches. We do not make the products. We choose them - following the best Nordic makers, judging each release on its quality and character, and bringing together a range we are proud to send under one name.

The name

Hus means house in Old Norse. Vannin comes from Ellan Vannin, the Manx Gaelic name for the Isle of Man. Together, they carry both sides of the story: Scandinavia, where the pouch culture began, and Mann, the island from which we trade.

A house, in the older sense, was more than a building. It was a name, a mark and a standard. Everything sent out beneath it had to be worthy of it. That is the idea behind Hus Vannin.

The island

The Isle of Man sits in the Irish Sea with its own parliament, laws, language and long memory. It has spent centuries holding its identity between larger neighbours.

Considered, independent and sure of what it is: that is the attribute the House borrows from the island.

The makers

Our role is selection.

Our pouches are made by specialist producers in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. We watch what those makers release, assess it carefully and curate a range across brands, flavours and strengths.

The range is deliberately Nordic. Nicotine pouches are now made around the world, but Hus Vannin stays close to the culture that shaped the category.

The House

A triskelion of three joined spirals carved into dark stone, lit low by ember light.

Everything we send is selected at source, sealed by its maker and dispatched from the Isle of Man. No invented craft story. No claim that we made what we did not. Just good judgment, a clear standard and a House mark behind every order.

Nordic makers. Manx House. One name for both.
