Chainpop: glitter on the inside

Chainpop started in Gothenburg in 2023, set up by one person who loved snus and wanted something the shops didn't have. The name comes from the founder's old band, which by the company's own account was "really lousy".

Who makes it

Chainpop Sweden AB, a small company with its office in Stockholm. The pouches are made in Sweden, at a factory in Ödeshög in Östergötland.

The look

The first cans were covered in glitter. Today they wear a clean Scandinavian palette, and Chainpop says "the glitter is still here, but only on the inside". It also brings out limited-edition cans drawn by up-and-coming designers and artists.

What Chainpop says

"We don't do dangerously high nicotine strengths." The pouches are tobacco-free and stay white in use.

The range

Chainpop pairs its flavours, so you get apple with cinnamon or peach with honey rather than a single fruit. Most sit at 5mg or 9mg, and Peppermint & Ice is a little stronger at 11.4mg. See them all in the Chainpop collection.
