Helwit: the pouch made beside a hydro plant
Behind the Brands
Helwit is made in a factory its founders built themselves, at Gransholms Bruk outside Växjö in the Småland forest. Henrik Boson, Tobias Björneskog and Felix Stefansson started the company, Yoik, around 2019, and they wanted every step of production under their own roof.
Who makes it
Yoik still makes Helwit at Gransholms Bruk. In September 2026 Imperial Brands (the owner of Skruf) bought Yoik, and the three founders joined Imperial as part of the deal. Helwit started as an independent Swedish brand and now belongs to a large tobacco company.
How it's made
The factory stands next to a hydropower station. Helwit says its electricity comes straight from that plant, "wall to wall" with the production line. The company also runs Helwit Concept, a test line where it tries new textures and can formats and keeps the ones customers ask for. It says its flavours were developed with "some of the world's leading flavour experts". We haven't seen that tested, so treat it as the maker's own claim.
The range
Helwit's strengths are low to middling. We stock Mint and Violet at 3.5mg, Menthol at 6mg, and Blueberry and Mocha at 7.5mg (Mocha tastes of coffee and chocolate). You can see them all in the Helwit collection.
